A volunteer is someone who spends time in a helping role:

  • With the equine programs
  • Scheduled work days
  • Weekend retreats
  • Helps feed horses
  • Helps with occasional office duties like special mailings, writing notes, etc.

Volunteering with our Equine Experience program takes a special skill set.  We will help you learn about our horses and the basic horsemanship skills needed to volunteer in this area.

If you would like to volunteer, we will work alongside you as you learn about our programs and train you to your desired role. Some roles have no interaction with our teens such as feeding the horses or scheduled workdays on the property.  Other roles have direct contact with our teens.   Our volunteer manual covers how to be present with our teens in a group setting as a volunteer or you can move to another level of involvement as a one-on-one mentor to our teens.  We will equip you in a group setting and one-on-one personal training.
